What is Direct Contracting?

Direct Contracting – also known as Global & Professional Direct Contracting (GPDC) – is a new alternative payment model from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) that encourages primary care physicians (PCPs) and other eligible professionals to shift away from fee-for-service (FFS) to value-based payments in primary care.

GPDC also enables the creation of Direct Contracting Entities (DCEs), which help providers participate in Direct Contracting. Want to learn more about the benefits of Direct Contracting? Sign up for a data-driven, personalized consultation with one of our experts.
