Dr. Janice Johnston

Dr. Janice Johnston is a family practice provider in Phoenix, Arizona. She leads an active family practice and cares for patients of Redirect Health as well as its Arrowhead Health Centers — a comprehensive and integrated network of Patient Centered Medical Homes (NCQA Level 3) and surgery centers. Together with her husband, Dr. David Berg, she co-founded Redirect Health, where she serves as the company’s Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Johnston oversees all medical operations and is responsible for the patient experience, spearheading efforts to enhance quality care while improving administrative efficiencies.
Dr. Johnston is an integral part of the operations of Redirect Health, continually advancing strategies to improve member service and ensure positive patient outcomes. She mentors staff and medical students at the facilities, helping others understand and operate within the patient-centered healthcare model that she has driven in recent years. She has been recognized numerous times by AZ Business Magazine in the categories of “Most Influential Women Business Leaders,” “Outstanding Medical Director,” and “Telehealth Leader.” She holds an M.D. from the University of Toronto and is currently a Health Insider for ABC15.
Outside of her role at Redirect Health, she volunteers her medical services and expertise to musicians with music being a long-time passion of hers. She was a recipient of the “Keeping the Blues Alive” award for her work advocating for musicians’ health. Additionally, Dr. Johnston is part of the MusicCares Provider Network through the Grammy Foundation.
